DEDICATED TO

Toñita embodies the very essence of what Bori Fest strives to achieve, bringing together the Puerto Rican diaspora and local Puerto Ricans in spaces where they can connect, grow, and thrive. For half a century, she has fostered this sense of unity at her Caribbean Social Club, earning deep respect in the community through her unwavering support for those in need, her commitment to creating a home away from home, and her dedication to preserving Latin culture for future generations.

Toñita embodies Bori Fest’s mission, uniting the Puerto Rican diaspora and local Puerto Ricans. For half a century, she has fostered this unity at her Caribbean Social Club, earning deep respect for her support, hospitality, and dedication to Latin culture. Her appearance with Bad Bunny on The Tonight Show highlighted her influence, adding to decades of grassroots efforts preserving Puerto Rican culture in New York. With pride and gratitude, we dedicate this year’s festival to her.

Bori Fest is a cultural platform uniting Puerto Ricans and Nuyoricans through film, music, art, and gastronomy, fostering creative exchange and collaborations. Presented by La Gesta Inc. and Oceanus Corp, both 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, in partnership with the 19-year Lusca Film Fest, the event showcases Puerto Rican filmmakers, musicians, and artists, celebrating the island’s cultural legacy and its enduring impact on the arts in New York and beyond.
